Maria, a caregiver, undergoes a transformative journey when she encounters Alex, a paraplegic resident. They embark on a forbidden relationship, fueled by their sexual discovery and deep connection. As their bond deepens, Alex’s demands and humiliation push Maria to her limits. Touched explores the intricacies of love, dependencies, and the struggles that arise when these forces collide.
Director’s note
A daring film about the emotional bond between outsiders, defying norms on disability and sexuality. As Maria, a fat woman, embraces her sensuality, the film explores the desire for love, closeness and fulfillment. Celebrating diverse bodies and breaking taboos.

TOUCHED is in the competition of the 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival. Stavros Zafeiris wins the Acessibility Award for his performance in TOUCHED.
